Editorial Guidelines Expert Advisor Methodology: Insurance rates Insure.com works with Quadrant Information Services to compile auto insurance coverage data for 35,000 ZIP codes for hundreds of car makes and models. For average rates, we use bodily injury and property damage liability limits of 100/300/100 with $500 deductibles for comprehensive and collision coverages for a 40-year-old driver with a 2021 Honda Accord LX with a clean driving record (no recent moving violations/tickets), a good insurance score and a 12-mile commute. For home insurance rates, we also work with Quadrant. We base our rates on $300,000 of dwelling coverage with $300,000 of liability coverage and a $1,000 property deductible.
